Void-of-course calendar

Void-of-course Moon, January 2026

The Moon is 'void of course' from its last major aspect in a sign until it enters the next sign. The gap can last anything from a few minutes to more than a day.

Traditionally, what starts while the Moon is void doesn't reach the expected outcome or changes direction. Many astrologers therefore avoid those hours for major decisions, signatures and new beginnings, and keep them for routine and rest.

This calendar uses the modern definition: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines and oppositions to every planet from the Sun to Pluto. The traditional definition, which stops at Saturn, sometimes gives longer periods.
